Let me begin with a dish that i did yesterday for dinner:
Cuttlefish with beans (6 servings)Ingredients:
3 to 4 medium Cuttlefish
1 kg of dried beans
2 sausages (Portuguese if possible)
3 to 4 medium onions
2 bay leaves
Hot sauce (opcional)
salt
- Put the dried beans in cold water a day before.
- Clean the cuttlefish and slice it into small peaces, salt it for one hour.
- Put the cuttlefish and the sausages in a pot with boiling water for 30 minutes.
- Put the beans in a pressure cooker and when the water starts to boil give it 15 minutes and shut down the stove.
- In a pot put some olive oil, enough to cover the base, put the chopped onions, the bay leaves and some hot sauce (for those who like it)
in the pot.
- Let the onions fried until they get transparent and add the sliced cuttlefish and sliced sausages.
- keep on stiring it. Five minutes passed grind a cup of beans and put it with the onions and stir.
- Two minutes passed put the rest of the beans and some water of the beans.
- Stir and let it cook in low heat for five minutes.
- Turn of the stove and let it rest to gain more flavour.
- Serve it with plain rice.
Bon appetit. Enjoy.
